Vroooom

So... who are YOU pulling for in this year's Indy 500??

Thanks to Tony for pointing this website out. I read something about her in one of the car mags. She started racing when she was 10. TEN! Sheesh!! Memorial Day weekend she'll be driving 225 MPH around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway... something I've always wanted to do. Her bio says she's 5'1" 100lbs... suppose she's faster b/c she's lighter?

She races for Rahal/Letterman... which, right there, makes her pretty cool! I actually met Bobby Rahal once...

Anyhow... GO DANICA!!

Hubba hubba! I've never been so interested in Indy racing before in my life....

Hey Grant,
There I was on the other side of the world reading a STARS & STRIPES article about Miss Danica Patrick just days ago. Between her driving Honda powered, Letterman sponsored, real race cars (vs. the fake stock car kind) and her background of solid racing and sponsorship experience indicating she may actually be around for a while, I was irresistably drawn to the article. In fact, I cut it out and mailed it to my 7- and 9-year old daughters just to keep their ideas flowing. How curious is it that she shows up on your blog the next day?! As Kruser would say, "so wee-uhd!"
Oh yeah, and it doesn't hurt that she (Patrick) is hot! Check this one out: www.lemans-racing.com/images/trajectoires/17720031058445330.jpg Technically, I don't know that she's even that hot... she's cute for sure, but I think it's the fact that she drives really fast that makes her hot. The STARS & STRIPES article mentioned that she'd done some bikini modeling, but I was unable to locate those pics anyhwere and Kruser wouldn't help me! If you find any, let us know... a vehicle maintenance shop really should have copies of them hanging up.

Vroom,
Actually, there was an article in the PD recently re: Ms.Patrick and the fact that she does indeed have a slight advantage due to her size RE: Weight.... supposedly a matter of physics that she creates a lighter load on the vehicle.... but she sure as hell can drive!!!

And you said you didn't want to come to Carb Day. Heh.

And Luther, you must not be looking hard enough.... http://indymotorspeedway.com/danica.htm

You're welcome. *wink*
