So... who are YOU pulling for in this year's Indy 500??
Thanks to Tony for pointing this website out. I read something about her in one of the car mags. She started racing when she was 10. TEN! Sheesh!! Memorial Day weekend she'll be driving 225 MPH around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway... something I've always wanted to do. Her bio says she's 5'1" 100lbs... suppose she's faster b/c she's lighter?
She races for Rahal/Letterman... which, right there, makes her pretty cool! I actually met Bobby Rahal once...
Anyhow... GO DANICA!!

Burglar ma'am... I'm here to burgle you...
I've had two dreams recently dealing with burglars. In the first one, I'm living in the house in Bowling Green where we lived after college and I let the dog out in the back yard (we never had a dog there). When I let him out, he ends up chasing a burglar, wearing typical stereotypical burglar garb and carrying an open umbrella, across the yard. The burglar then leaps up as if the umbrella would help him fly, tries to jump the picket fence, but catches his foot and falls on his face in the neighbors' yard before getting up and running away.
Last night then, I dreamed I was looking out our back window in this house and saw a burglar in the back yard... so I started tapping on the window, he heard and sprinted away... I just kept tapping on the window!
Not sure what this rash of recent burglary dreams means... but they're starting to get a little annoying.

Thursdays
I really love my Thursdays at the library. Not sure why... I think it's just the decompression of it all. Maybe it's the nice wall of glass here while my office at work is building-locked w/no windows... maybe it's just getting away for an hour... perhaps it's being surrounded by books. I don't know what it is, but I know my Thursdays go faster than any other day of the week, and I believe it's because of my library breaks!
BTW... I'm writing a book. :-)

Desire Strong Sam Beer!!!
It's been a LONG time since Moss and I brewed together, but a friend of mine started asking me about homebrewing recently, so I've been bitten by the bug again.
I found the hard drive to an OLD computer in my closet and pulled this old Strong Sam Beer website off of it. Some pretty good stuff in there... the testimonials are great!! The "media coverage" is pretty cool too!! It's LAURIE during her radio days!! Also, some of the labels were terrific!
Brewed with care, drink with ease!
I just found out that Moss quit his job at Travelocity in order to begin his migration to Japan! How cool for him, it's been a long-time dream of his. I'm so happy to see him realizing it now!
Oh... and I just set up www.puntholo.com I have NO idea what I'm going to do with it, but it's going to be something different. Anyone have any ideas??

OS X 10.4
There's a great quote from a Computer Science professor... Dr. David Gelernter. He said... describing file systems and searching them...
When I acquire a new piece of 'real-life' (versus electronic) information - a new memory of (let's say) talking to Melissa on a sunny afternoon outside the Red Parrot - I don't have to give this memory a name, or stuff it in a directory. I can use anything in the memory as a retrieval key.
Apple has taken a step closer to that goal with Tiger... OS X 10.4. I haven't upgraded yet, but everything I've read about Spotlight, Tiger's new indexed search function, sounds awesome!
I'm sure Longhorn will come up with something similar, that works sometimes, in a couple years...er... yeah.
