Man, there were probably 6 of the first 20 books on that list that they made us read before we were in 8th grade! Some of the books I remember most from my formative years, and they're the works of evil!

Thanks for the link, Grant. This is something that is really important to me. I try to bring it up each year. Reading is something that people generally don't do enough of anyway. If we don't appreciate our right to read what we want, there are those who would be more than happy to take it away from us.
