So long, old friend...

Well, after 10+ years, I am no longer the owner of a purple 1994 Chevy S-10. It served me well for over 174,000 miles. It was the first "big ticket" item I ever bought on my own. I has taken me all over the Midwest and has been the forum for many interesting discussions, much MUCH music and a few clove cigarettes... It was a fantastic vehicle and I will honestly miss it.

I sold it today to a young migrant from Texas. He was planning on fixing it up (aka Pimping it out) and seemed genuinely excited to buy it. His whole family was involved in the purchase...his parents, his sister and a very little girl who could have been his girl all came to see it, kick the tires, and eventually drive away with it.

So long, old friend...may you serve your new owner well...

NO WAY!

Well, I'm happy and sad for you, Grant. You've had that thing forever (it's been forever since I worked at that dealership).

I'm glad it has a good home, however.

LOL...that's RIGHT. I had almost forgotten you set up the financing for me at Thayer's in BG. Hahaha... That WAS a long time ago!!

Ahh, the ol' S-10s. Good rides, good rides.

I forgot you had that black one, Kris... Ah yes... S-10 sibs we were....

And Naja-D had one too....hells yeah, a trio of S-10s rockin' the Hellhole's parking lot...

At least it wasn't the Barbie truck.
