Well, 10 years ago it would have been blasphemous to say what I just said. Things change though, the Bad Boys are gone and the new Pistons are all about defense. Rip Hamilton is great, Rasheed Wallace is a new player in his new setting and Ben Wallace is just about my favorite player in the NBA right now. The finals against the Lakers should be pretty interesting. Not a bad matchup actually!

I don't believe it...I love the Pistons!!

I think the Piston defense will give the Lakers fits! I expect to see several Lakers lose their cool too b/c of frustration.
I may go up to a game at the Palace...haven't decided yet.
Yeah, Malone will get thrown out in at least one game for "delivering" yet another elbow of doom. He's not great at keeping his cool, even if they are winning. lol
How much are tickets for a game going to cost? The place will be a madhouse...
I would think $60 would be "face value" but good luck finding any at that price. I've been to playoff games in Detroit back in "the day" but that was the Silverdome. They actually carried out a stabbing victim on a stretcher from one Pistons/Hawks game. Good times....good times....
This is the first time in 14 years that I've been interested in the NBA finals. Should be very entertaining. The Lakers are evil incarnate, BTW.
No argument here, LA is a child of the Devil's loins. I'm torn between my dislike of the Lakers and my respect for both Malone (I was a huge fan of the Malone, Stockton, and Hornacek era Jazz club) and Phil Jackson. It would be nice to see Malone finally get a ring, but I'd also love to see Kobe and Shaq blow another championship and pout.
Well, I tried to get tickets at 10am today - the time they went on sale - and by the time I logged in several seconds later they were sold out. Whatever...
You're right, and I'm not surprised to see the Pistons in the finals. I would, however, be very surprised if they can actually beat the Lakers, especially after last year. The Lakers seem to want to prove that last year was a fluke. I hope it goes seven... I'd really hate to see a blowout either way. It would be pretty odd (and nice) to see an Eastern team back on top, but my money is firmly on LA though.
