Well, that's just sad...

Mr. Rogers, Fred Rogers, died this AM of stomach cancer at age 74. I don't know about the rest of you but I LOVED that show and watched it every single day when I was growing up. Mr. McFeeley would always bring those cool movies of factories and stuff so you could see how things were made. I just loved that. Mr. Roger's Neighborhood also gave me my first introduction to jazz music.

Fred Rogers will be missed.

Amen to your comments about Mr. Rogers. He also brought us some pretty cool music. Check my blog for more thoughts about Fred Rogers... www.blogspot.com

The news showed some clips from his shows and I actually started crying (I think the only other time a celebrity's death made me cry was when Jim Henson died). His loving, gentle nature and genuine respect for people of all ages are qualities I admire--and hope to imitate. I'm glad that PBS will re-run the shows so my boy can grow up watching Mr. Rogers.
